What You Will Find in the Showroom

Why Buy Slabs Locally in Milwaukee

Natural stone is a one-of-a-kind product — two slabs of the same color name can look completely different. Choosing your exact slab in person means no surprises on installation day. Local supply also means faster turnaround: your fabricator can pick up material the same week instead of waiting on freight from out of state.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need an appointment to visit the showroom?

Walk-ins are welcome during business hours. For dedicated one-on-one help selecting slabs, we recommend scheduling an appointment so a stone specialist can be ready for you.

Can homeowners buy directly, or is it trade only?

Both. Homeowners are welcome to select their slabs with us; we then coordinate with your fabricator or connect you with one of our Wisconsin fabricator partners for templating and installation.

How do I know which slabs are in stock right now?

Our live inventory page reflects the slabs physically in our West Allis warehouse, updated continuously.

Visiting StoneX USA: Common Questions

Where is the nearest stone slab supplier to Milwaukee?

StoneX USA is at 1735 S 106th St in West Allis - about 10 minutes from downtown Milwaukee via I-94. It is a working slab warehouse with the full inventory on site, not a sample showroom, so you can see complete slabs before choosing.

How far is StoneX USA from my town?

Most of the Milwaukee metro is within 20 minutes: Wauwatosa and Greenfield about 10, New Berlin and Brookfield about 15, Waukesha and Oak Creek about 20. Racine is roughly 30 minutes and Kenosha about 40, both straight down I-94.

Do I need an appointment to see the slabs?

No. Walk in during business hours - Monday to Friday 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM and Saturday 8:30 AM to 2:00 PM. Calling 414-998-0404 ahead helps if you want someone available to answer material questions while you walk the racks.

Can I see what is in stock before driving over?

Yes - the live inventory reads from the warehouse system, so every slab shown is physically on the racks. Shortlist colors online, then confirm and tag the exact slab on site. That way one trip is usually enough.

Is there parking and is the warehouse accessible?

Yes, there is on-site parking at the West Allis location and the slab gallery is at ground level. Fabricators and contractors collecting slabs use the same entrance.

Looking for a Stone Supplier Near You?

Searches for a "countertop supplier near me" turn up three very different kinds of business: slab suppliers, fabrication shops and retail showrooms. Knowing which one you need saves a wasted drive.

Granite suppliers near Milwaukee

Full granite slabs on the racks in West Allis, plus the multi-slab bundles that larger kitchens need.

Quartz suppliers near Milwaukee

Engineered quartz including jumbo formats, with colours that can be re-ordered for a matching second phase.

Marble supply near Milwaukee

Carrara, Calacatta and dolomite held locally rather than ordered per container.

Quartzite suppliers near Milwaukee

True quartzite, honestly labelled, in leathered, honed and polished finishes.

Supplier, Fabricator or Showroom?

What is the difference between a stone supplier and a countertop fabricator?

A supplier stocks and sells the raw slab; a fabricator cuts, edges and installs it. StoneX USA is a supplier — we hold the inventory and sell slabs, and independent fabrication shops do the cutting and installation. If you are a homeowner, you will usually pick material here and have a fabricator handle the rest. That split is why you can see far more slabs in one place here than at a fabrication shop, which typically stocks only what it is currently working through.

Can a homeowner buy from a slab supplier, or is it trade only?

Homeowners are welcome to come and select material. What we do not do is fabricate or install — that goes through a fabrication partner. In practice most homeowners either arrive with their fabricator or pick a slab here and then choose a shop from the partner directory.

What should I ask a countertop supplier near me before visiting?

Three questions sort out most of it: is the material physically on site or ordered in; can I see and tag the specific slab that will be cut for my job; and do you work with fabricators or do everything in-house. Those answers tell you what kind of business you are actually dealing with.

Do I need an appointment to see slabs?

You can walk in during business hours. Trade buyers pulling material or working through a large selection usually call ahead so someone is free to pull bundles with a forklift.

Buying for a shop or a build rather than a single kitchen? The wholesale slab supply page covers trade ordering, and the fabricator directory lists shops that work with our material.
