Does Aspen White need to be sealed?
Yes. Aspen White is natural stone and porous, so your fabricator applies a penetrating sealer after installation and it is refreshed periodically. Granite tolerates heat well; a trivet under very hot pans still protects the sealer and prevents thermal shock at the edges.
What is Aspen White best used for?
Kitchen countertops, islands, bar tops, outdoor kitchens and fireplace surrounds. Granite's heat tolerance makes it a common choice near the cooktop.

Aspen White is a lighter, softer granite with fine grey movement. That makes the cabinet decision the one that changes the room most. What works:
White cabinetry
Reads bright and airy - the counter adds subtle texture rather than contrast. Works well in smaller kitchens that need light.
Two-tone kitchens
A white perimeter with a darker island lets Aspen White carry both without competing.
Backsplash
Because the pattern is fine, a slab backsplash works here without overwhelming the room.
