Does Black Pearl need to be sealed?
Yes. Black Pearl is natural stone and porous, so your fabricator applies a penetrating sealer after installation and it is refreshed periodically. Granite tolerates heat well; a trivet under very hot pans still protects the sealer and prevents thermal shock at the edges.
What is Black Pearl best used for?
Kitchen countertops, islands, bar tops, outdoor kitchens and fireplace surrounds. Granite's heat tolerance makes it a common choice near the cooktop.
Can I buy Black Pearl if I already have a fabricator?
Yes. Come to the gallery, tag the granite slab you want, and your fabricator collects it. We also sell directly to fabricators, builders and remodelers across the Milwaukee area on wholesale terms.
What is the difference between Absolute Black granite and Black Pearl?
Both are granites from India. Absolute Black is a solid black granite with a very consistent color and texture; Black Pearl is black and grey with speckles of gold, silver, brown and green.
