Calacatta Mystery

Calacatta Mystery is an engineered quartz with a white to very light grey base and thin, branching grey veins that spread across the slab like a web. In our slab photo the veining is fine rather than bold, with a few slightly thicker lines running diagonally.

The veins are grey; no gold tones show in the slab image on this page. Because the pattern is made to a set design, slabs look very similar, which helps on kitchens that need more than one slab.

 Characteristics

  • Look: A light Calacatta-style quartz, white with a web of fine grey veins.

  • Seams: The thinner veins make seams less noticeable than on a bold Calacatta, but ask your fabricator to line up the thicker diagonal lines where two pieces meet.

  • Pairing: Its quiet pattern suits white, grey or light wood cabinets and brushed nickel or black hardware.

  • Heat: Quartz resin can scorch or discolour under a hot pan, so put hot cookware on a trivet.

  • Cleaning: No sealing is needed; warm water and a little dish soap is enough, and harsh cleaners such as bleach are best avoided.

    Calacatta Mystery questions

Is Calacatta Mystery in stock as a full slab?

Calacatta Mystery is not currently stocked; it is available to order. Call 414-998-0404 for lead time, or check live inventory for a similar colour available now.

Does Calacatta Mystery need to be sealed?

No. Engineered quartz is non-porous, so Calacatta Mystery never needs sealing. Clean it with warm water and a mild detergent; use a trivet under hot pans, because sustained heat can damage the resin binder.

What is Calacatta Mystery best used for?

Kitchen countertops, islands, bathroom vanities, backsplashes and commercial surfaces. We do not recommend engineered quartz outdoors, because UV exposure can fade the resin over time.

Can I buy Calacatta Mystery if I already have a fabricator?

Yes. Come to the gallery, tag the engineered quartz slab you want, and your fabricator collects it. We also sell directly to fabricators, builders and remodelers across the Milwaukee area on wholesale terms.
