Fresco Grandioso

Fresco Grandioso is an engineered quartz with a light grey-white base covered by a dense web of thin dark grey lines. The lines break the surface into small irregular cells, a crackle pattern closer to crazed pottery than to marble veining.

In the full slab we photographed on our racks, the background is light rather than deep, and the pattern covers the slab evenly from edge to edge. The lines are grey to charcoal; no gold tones show in the slab we photographed. Because the pattern is all-over and made to a set design, slabs look alike and seams are easy to hide.

 Characteristics

  • Look: Light grey-white with an even, dense crackle of dark grey lines. It reads as a textured light grey from across the room.

  • Busy surfaces: The fine crackle hides crumbs and water spots well. Pair it with plain cabinets and a simple backsplash, since the stone already has a lot of pattern.

  • Wear: Resistant to stains and everyday scratches. Hot pans can mark the resin, so use a trivet.

  • Care: No sealing is needed. Mild soap and water keep it clean.

  • Uses: Kitchen countertops and islands, vanity tops, fireplace surrounds and accent walls.

    Does Fresco Grandioso need to be sealed?

    No. Engineered quartz is non-porous, so Fresco Grandioso never needs sealing. Clean it with warm water and a mild detergent; use a trivet under hot pans, because sustained heat can damage the resin binder.

    What is Fresco Grandioso best used for?

    Kitchen countertops, islands, bathroom vanities, backsplashes and commercial surfaces. We do not recommend engineered quartz outdoors, because UV exposure can fade the resin over time.

    Can I buy Fresco Grandioso if I already have a fabricator?
