Does Avalanche need to be sealed?
Yes, and with care. Avalanche is calcium carbonate, so acids such as lemon juice or vinegar can etch the surface even when sealed. A penetrating sealer reduces staining; many owners accept the patina that develops with use.
What is Avalanche best used for?
Bathroom vanities, fireplace surrounds, pastry and baking stations, and feature walls. In a heavily used kitchen, expect etching and patina.
Can I buy Avalanche if I already have a fabricator?
