Fresco Perduto

Fresco Perduto is an engineered quartz with a white to cream base densely scattered with irregular dark grey and black patches. Despite the marble-style name, it has no veins; the look is closer to a speckled granite.

The patches vary in size, from small flecks to pieces the size of a thumbnail, and cover the slab fairly evenly. From a few feet away it reads as a busy black-and-white surface that hides crumbs and everyday marks well. Our inventory lists it as a polished 3 cm slab.

 Characteristics

  • Look: White to cream with dense dark grey and black patches, no veining.

  • Seams: Because the pattern is an even scatter rather than lines, seams are easy to hide and there is no vein direction to plan.

  • Heat: It resists stains and everyday scratches, but hot pans can mark the resin, so keep a trivet handy.

  • Cleaning: No sealing is needed; a soft cloth with mild dish soap and water keeps it clean.

  • Uses: Kitchen countertops and islands, vanity tops and backsplashes; it pairs easily with white, black or grey cabinets.

    Fresco Perduto questions

Is Fresco Perduto in stock as a full slab?

Fresco Perduto is sold as full slabs through our West Allis slab gallery near Milwaukee, where you can see the complete piece — and how the pattern runs across it — before you commit. Stock moves week to week, so check live inventory or call 414-998-0404 to confirm whether Fresco Perduto is on the racks now.

Does Fresco Perduto need to be sealed?

No. Engineered quartz is non-porous, so Fresco Perduto never needs sealing. Clean it with warm water and a mild detergent; use a trivet under hot pans, because sustained heat can damage the resin binder.

What is Fresco Perduto best used for?

Kitchen countertops, islands, bathroom vanities, backsplashes and commercial surfaces. We do not recommend engineered quartz outdoors, because UV exposure can fade the resin over time.

Can I buy Fresco Perduto if I already have a fabricator?

Yes. Come to the gallery, tag the engineered quartz slab you want, and your fabricator collects it. We also sell directly to fabricators, builders and remodelers across the Milwaukee area on wholesale terms.

Three design visualizations showing how Fresco Perduto reads at room scale: as a full-height kitchen backsplash, on a bathroom vanity, and on a waterfall-edge island. Each one was generated from the photograph of the actual slab on this page, so the natural stone pattern, colour and finish match the stone we stock in West Allis.
