Carrara Massa

Carrara Massa is an engineered quartz made to look like Carrara marble: a white to very light grey base with soft, fine grey feathering. The veining is soft and spread out rather than drawn in sharp lines, so from a distance the surface reads as a light, cloudy grey-white.

In our close-up image the grey is a fine, broken feathering spread over the white rather than long, continuous veins. Unlike real Carrara marble, it will not etch from lemon juice, vinegar or wine. Slabs are made to the same design, so the pattern stays consistent across a large kitchen.

 Characteristics

  • Look: White to light grey with soft, feathery grey veining in the Carrara style.

  • Marble versus quartz: It gives the Carrara look without marble’s etching and sealing; the trade-off is that quartz is less tolerant of direct heat.

  • Heat: Resistant to stains and daily scratches, but the resin can be marked by a hot pan, so use a trivet.

  • Care: No sealing is ever needed; wipe with mild soap and water and avoid bleach-based cleaners.

    Is Carrara Massa in stock as a full slab?

    Carrara Massa is not currently stocked; it is available to order. Call 414-998-0404 for lead time, or check live inventory for a similar colour available now.

    Does Carrara Massa need to be sealed?

    No. Engineered quartz is non-porous, so Carrara Massa never needs sealing. Clean it with warm water and a mild detergent; use a trivet under hot pans, because sustained heat can damage the resin binder.

    What is Carrara Massa best used for?

    Kitchen countertops, islands, bathroom vanities, backsplashes and commercial surfaces. We do not recommend engineered quartz outdoors, because UV exposure can fade the resin over time.

    Can I buy Carrara Massa if I already have a fabricator?

    Yes. Come to the gallery, tag the engineered quartz slab you want, and your fabricator collects it. We also sell directly to fabricators, builders and remodelers across the Milwaukee area on wholesale terms.
