Yes. Bahamas is natural stone and porous, so your fabricator applies a penetrating sealer after installation and it is refreshed periodically. Granite tolerates heat well; a trivet under very hot pans still protects the sealer and prevents thermal shock at the edges.
What is Bahamas best used for?
Kitchen countertops, islands, bar tops, outdoor kitchens and fireplace surrounds. Granite's heat tolerance makes it a common choice near the cooktop.
